The Awaiting

The anticipation stems from Pope Francis's visit to Albania to recount, through archives and contemporary images, half a century of religious persecution under communism and the survival of memory. The Pope's journey from Rome to Tirana becomes, metaphorically, a journey that spans fifty years. The protagonists of the narrative are a Franciscan priest imprisoned for many years and a cathedral converted into a sports palace. Based on the book Rrno vetëm për me tregue by Father Zef Pllumi.
