Tereza and Manuel are a young couple. They are expecting a child, whom they love but see as an early gift of life. Their plans for youth, Teresa's schooling, and the freedom of age are set under discussion. The care of family members becomes excessive and unbearable. So Tereza and Manuel are looking for a solution, but on the condition that the child they are expecting, Teresita, whom they love very much, does not get hurt. A solution is given by an enigmatic character Veisman (doctor?) who suggests them a plan that can provide solutions to problems. Veisman's detailed plan (doctor or not) seems strange and untried, but Tereza and Manuel commit to working for a successful result. Part of the plan is also the family members who will have to play their role despite their doubts and are obliged to fulfill the will of their children. When the long-awaited day comes, Tereza fights fear and doubt if everything will go as she had envisioned
