An Incident on the Coast

Synopsis of the animated film "An Incident on the Coast" The team of fishermen, together with their families, celebrate the opening of the new fishing season. The children play happily by the sea. They start to build sandcastles. Neritani, Goni and Sara (the latter two are twins), with spades and buckets, run along the shore to find the perfect spot to build their castle. The adults are having lunch while the fishermen's captain serves his wife some cake, and Besiani, the crew's eldest fisherman, suggests that the first catch be donated to the city orphanage. Sara and Goni go to look for shells a little further on, where there is a cave, as they might find some very beautiful ones there. On the shore, little Neritani has just finished his sandcastle. Meanwhile, inside the cave, Sara and Goni feel the tide coming in fast and they climb onto a rock because the water is in danger of flooding the cave. They call for help. Suddenly, little Neritani looks up and hears their voices calling for help. He immediately goes to the fishermen and asks them for help. One of the fishermen takes the motorboat and, together with Neritan, goes to help the little children. They take them on board and head back for the shore, but after a few moments the motorboat stalls; it won't work because it has run out of petrol. Besian, who is watching the event from the shore, realises the situation and takes a speedboat to help the motorboat. A few moments later, the motorboat and the speedboat return to shore. Everyone is delighted; the fishermen's captain praises little Neritan and gives him the title of 'Honorary Member' of the Fishermen's Association. Everyone applauds and congratulates the little boy.
