Plastic Flower

An elderly couple from an Albanian village receive an invitation to a wedding from a close relative in the capital. At first they are very enthusiastic, but they soon feel unwelcome as the indifferent, snobbish people around them make them feel unwanted. According to the director, 25 years after the fall of the communist regime, Albanian society continues to struggle to rediscover its spiritual harmony and balance, increasingly turning towards individualism and abandoning human values. The film is based on the short story "The Couple" by Ylljet Aliçka and aims to restore kindness and love among people from different social classes and backgrounds in Albania.
